Chad Campbell, CFP®, CTFA

Wealth Advisor, Principal

Chad joined Capital Financial Planners in 2013. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional with over 20 years of wealth management and banking experience. He became a member (owner) of the firm in 2016. His focus is in assisting and advising clients, their families, and their representatives in the development and implementation of sound wealth management strategies.

Prior to joining Capital Financial Planners, Chad, who also holds a Certified Trust & Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation from the American Bankers Association, was a Vice President and Trust Officer at a regional trust company located in the Pacific Northwest. There, he served on both the Trust Administrative and Trust Investment Committees. With this experience, and being of one of a small number of corporate trust professionals to leave the banking industry for private practice, he brings a unique perspective and valuable experience to Capital Financial Planners in matters of fiduciary investments, trust & estate administration, and multi-generational planning.

Chad has his B.A. from George Fox University and received his trust & wealth advisory training from the Cannon Financial Institute. In addition to serving multiple terms as President of the Rotary Club of South Salem, he also currently serves on the Board of the Willamette Valley Estate Planning Council, on the Board of Directors for Willamette Valley Hospice, and is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Portland. He has also served on the Oregon Banker’s Association Trust Committee. Finally, Chad is an associate member of the Rotary eClub of Southern Scotland which, among other things, seeks out ways to partner with communities in the African nation of Malawi.

As a third generation Oregonian, Chad is deeply rooted to his community and is committed to making it better. He and his wife, Janet (a firefighter/paramedic) and their two daughters live in Salem, with the girls going through the same schools that he did (Go South!). Beyond the office, he spends his time reading on a wide variety of subjects, weight-lifting, cooking, and outdoor recreation… especially whitewater rafting.
